Being only a small machine, the dozer is just right for clearing away all that undergrowth and debris from under the trees. Many stands of trees have huge amounts of fuel surrounding them, which can make burning dangerous and harmful to the trees you wish to keep - even when the weather is suitable. It can be a good option to push all that build up into heaps and move to a safer area for burning before adopting a regular burning routine, such as the cultural burning practices of the Aboriginal people. The small size of the machine makes it cheap to transport, makes less mess than a larger machine and causes less damage to the trees to be kept.
Often when it is time to build a new fence, the line where it needs to go is overgrown, or is obstructed by an existing fence, large trees or rabbit and wombat warrens etc. As the dozer is the same machine we use to drive our strainer posts when building the fence, we are able to undertake this onerous task and get on with the job of building the fence as efficiently as possible. Large trees are not a problem either.
