Traditional Rural Fencing

Cattle Fencing Examples

Electric fencing for quick temporary fences are suitable for most breeds of cattle.  However it is critical to have strong permanent fencing for the boundary and around house yards.  On larger properties you will often need dividing fences, for paddocks and to keep stock off roads.
Barbed wire is the most commonly used cattle fence, and has a built-in physical barrier. Five strands of barbed wire is recommended, but  that can vary depending on conditions and the variety/age of stock.
