Post & Pile Driving

Post and rail fences were in use even before wire was invented. Well built, they are a very strong and effective fence.
The quality of the timber and fittings used will determine the life of the fence.
Some types of timber last longer than others and given the labour intensive nature of this type of fence, it is best to use quality timber.
The timber can even be sourced from trees on your very own property.
Rails can be mortised as done in the past, cut into the post and fixed using bolts, screws or wires, or just fixed straight to the post.
Generally, its best to at least cut the rails in for a lasting job.
Robs Rural Contracting can provide the quality craftsmanship required to produce the same look and feel of that much loved traditional timber post and rail fence.

Post Driving

Getting those posts in has always been the toughest part of a fencing job. Whether we build your fence or you do it yourself, you can benefit from our state of the art Post Driver. Mounted on our little Dozer, it can go where others can't and, thanks to some modifications exclusive to our machine, anywhere the Dozer can go, it can drive your posts. Posts up to 400mm in diameter and 3.6m long are no problem and steel strainers can generally be driven 2m or more into the ground, making them much more stable more quickly than concreting them in.

Pile Driving

Piles have been used for a very long time as a building foundation. Our Post Driver can drive a pile through fill in place of a concrete pier and is a fully engineer approved option for building on fill.
As there is no need to dig holes or buy concrete, it is also quite a bit more cost effective.
We have driven piles as deep as 6.5m into the ground.
